Fire Protection in Private Hospitals

In Srikakulam district ...
There are about 200 private hospitals are present .
There are about 120 multi storied hospitals present .


Is it necessary to protect against accidental fire in private hospitals ? yes it is necessary only in 10% of private hospitals ... i.e in big poly nursing homes of multi-storied buildings . In clinics and single-owned nursing homes with only ground-floor buildings less than 10 in-patients beds it is not necessary.

There is only one instance of accidental fire deaths so far in medical / hospital history . . . i.e in Park hospital - Hyd. where 3 persons died.

The inspecting authority is given to a non-medical fire services who have nil knowledge of hospital maintainence . . that gives some mental disturbance to those doctors where there is no necessity of fire protection .

It is the Govt.hospitals and corporate hospitals fire protection is needed ... where more number of patients admitted and having lot of machinery equipment is present .

Exclude from fire protection rules :

1. all clinics ,
   
2. Hospitals with only Ground floor buildings ,
3. hospitals with 10 & less than 10 in-patients beds ,
4. All single doctor nursing homes ,

6. చెత్త ఎత్తే " మరిడి" సంస్థ తనికీలు బెడ్ నంబర్ కోసం .. బెడ్ కి నెలకి 100 రూపాయిలు కట్టాలి ,
7. డి.యం.& ఎహ్.ఓ . తనికీలు -- హాస్పిటల్ రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ & ఫీజు రేట్లు బోర్డులు పెట్టనందుకు ,
8. డ్రగ్ ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ మేమోలు ... పేసేన్ట్లకు బిల్లులు లేకుండా ఫ్రీగా మందులిచ్చినందుకు , ఫ్రిజ్ పనిచేయనందుకు , మందులు నిలవా ఉంచినందుకు ,
9. ఎలెక్ట్రికల్ ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ నోటిసులు , సర్వీస్ కట్ చేస్తామని బెదిరింపులు ... ఎర్త్-వైర్ సరిగా లేనందుకు , బిల్లులు సరియైన టైం కి కట్టినా వాళ్ళ నోటీసుకు రానందుకు ,
10. పసేంట్లు చనిపోతే బందువుల దగ్గరనుండి వేదింపులు & తన్నులు తినడం , కన్జుమార్ కోర్టుల వడ్డింపులు చెల్లించడం ,

దీనికి తోడూ ఫైర్ ఆఫీసర్ల కొత్త వేదింపులు , చిరుబుర్లు , చిరాకులు ... అగ్ని ప్రమాద నివారణ యంత్రాలు లేవని .
